It is said that “the Holy Spirit” is the third person of the Trinity (God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit). It is also said that “he” is the “most mysterious” member of the triune Godhead. We believe that when the Scriptures about the Holy Spirit are properly understood they will reveal that the “Holy Spirit” is not an additional person, but another name for God. God is holy (Psalm 99:9) and God is spirit (John 4:24). [1]

2 John 1:9 (NASB)
Anyone who goes too far and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God; the one who abides in the teaching, he has both the Father and the Son. [2]

Scripture verses in the book of Revelation that show only two thrones:

These verses have two things in common:

(1) A distinction between God and the Lord Jesus.
(2) God the Holy Spirit is never mentioned.

Revelation 20:6
…they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.

Revelation 12:10
Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ.

Revelation 7:10
And they cried out in a loud voice: “Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.”

Revelation 21:22
I did not see a temple in the city, because the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are its temple.

Revelation 11:15
…“The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord [God] and of his Christ [Jesus], and he will reign for ever and ever.”

Revelation 22:1
Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb.

Revelation 5:13
